Debt Settlement Service

This is the story of Tony, a guy who was in a lot of debt.

Many, many times, Tony wished he had access to enough cash to pay off all of his unsecured debt. However, he only had access to about half that much. But that was all of his savings in the world. He didn't want to spend it all that way. For years, he lived using credit cards--going overboard with them, in fact. Then he went to a consumer credit counseling service and learned how to budget and how to save, as well as how to use credit wisely. He abided by the rule that he would only charge as much as he could afford to pay off in full each month. But there was one piece of advice he got from the debt counseling service that he didn't take. They suggested that he should enroll in some sort of debt management program like debt settlement, but at the time, he was hesitant. He wanted to learn how to live within his means. "One thing at a time," he thought. But now he feels it's time to look into a debt settlement program, so he turned to the Internet in search of a debt settlement service.

Tony's Search for a Debt Settlement Service
Tony had heard that when choosing a debt settlement service, one had to be careful and choose wisely. The right debt settlement service could have you paying off your debt at 30-50 cents on the dollar. The wrong one--well, we don't want to go there.

Before choosing a debt settlement service, Tony did his homework. He knew that most debt settlement services had forms on their web sites that he could complete and submit to give them an idea of his situation and they could send him accurate quotes within 24 hours. He compared these quotes to get a feel for which company he was most comfortable with. He ultimately chose a debt settlement company that allowed him to settle his debts at 50 cents on the dollar. He was happy because he was out of debt and he still had a decent (albeit smaller) savings account.
